Giving is an act of worship and an opportunity to be open-handed with what God has given us to steward.

2 Corinthians 9:6

Remember this — a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully."

You won't be pressured to give here at Maple Ridge.

Instead, we extend the invitation to give cheerfully. Tithing is an Old Testament concept that required giving 10% of your first fruits to God. Many Christians today use that as a guiding principle in their giving, but as Paul suggests, "You should decide in your heart how much to give."
