What We Value
1.
The Bible is Our Source of Authority and Our Guide
Hebrews 4:1
For the word of God is living and active.
Sharper
than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and
spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the
heart.
Luke 11:28
He replied, "But even more blessed are all
who hear the word of God and put it into practice."

2. We Are All Part of the Body of Christ--Gifted to Serve
Romans 12:4-8
Just
as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not
all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form
one body,
and each member belongs to all the others. We have different
gifts,
according to the grace given us. Now you are the body of
Christ, and
each one of you is a part of it.
Hebrews 10:25
And
let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but
encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his
coming back again is drawing near.
|
3. Loving God and Others
Mark 12:29-31
Jesus
replied, "The most important commandment is this: 'Hear, O Israel! The
Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must
love the Lord your
God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your
strength.' The second is equally important: 'Love your
neighbor as
yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."
|
4. God's Passion for People Who Don't have a Relationship with Him
Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus
came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in
heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make
disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the
Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the
commands I
have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the
end of the age."
|
5. Prayer and Total Dependance on the Holy Spirit
John 5:19-20
Jesus
replied, "I assure you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only
what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also
does. For the Father loves the Son and tells him everything he is
doing, and the Son will do far greater things than healing this man.
You will be astonished at what he does.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Always
be joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what happens,
always be thankful,
for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Zechariah 4:6
Then
he said to me, "This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by
force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty.
|
6. Worship
John 4:23-24
But the time is coming and
is already here when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
and in truth. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship him
that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must
worship in
spirit and in truth."
Colossians 3:1-2
Whatever you do,
work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for
men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from
the Lord
as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
|
7. Living Spiritual and Relational Integrity
a. Grace
b. Humility
Philippians 2:3-4
Do
nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility
consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should
look not
only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Proverbs 29:23
Pride ends in humiliation, while humility
brings honor.
c. Unity and
Relational Integrity
Psalm 133:1
A
song for the ascent to Jerusalem. A psalm of David. How wonderful it
is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony!
Colossians 3:14
And the most important piece of clothing you
must wear is love. Love is
what binds us all together in perfect harmony.
|
8. Obedience
John 14:21
"Those who obey my
commandments are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my
Father will love them, and I will love them. And I will reveal myself
to each one of them."
|
9. Faith
Hebrews 11:6
So, you see, it is impossible to please God
without faith.
|
10. Generous Giving
|
11. Holisitic Ministry
Mind, Body & Spirit.
|
12. Community Transformation
Impact our community and the world with the
knowledge and power of
Christ.
